Viva La Fiesta (days)

Last weekend in May marks Fiesta Days here in cowtown, USA.
Luckily the weather held out. It rained in the morning then just the clouds remained.
I have to say it's the first Fiesta Days I remember needing a coat.

This is Mikes favorite picture. Ian determined to wrap his mouth around that huge corn dog.

I do love old sign-age. Looks like this one has been painted over a few times.

Well, the thing is....Ian's at home with me allllll day
so he's my model by default.

I'm learning to really dig this lens. I know it's just the beginning.

I love that I can see the sillouette of the batman logo.

(Yes, he's still wearing his batman PJ shirt. It's going in the wash tonight.)

I just loved this for some reason.

He had the organ playing music and was sitting like this just enjoying the sounds.

it was a *brisk* 97 degrees out today so Ian and Dad had a rematch.

Holy Schmoley I WON!!

So...I'm REALLY bad about checking my answering machine. Horrible. So I looked at it this morning and noticed it was blinking. I listen to them and find out I won in two catagories of our Vacaville Fiesta Days Photography contest.
I didn't even know I was elligible for more than the digital photography category.

it's fire weather

today was our first 90 degree day

wind was blowing, it was very dry....

by the glow of the sunset it felt like prime fire weather.

Here's hoping I'm wrong!

new park

Well, a new sub-division was created from farm-land.

These are homes we couldn't even DREAM of affording and

they're right up the street from our house.

So....we decided to check out their new park.

Give it a test drive.

Ian got bored and we went back to our park udown the street (haha).
