***** My baby Boy is 5 !!! ******

Five years ago today....
We welcomed our son into the world 8 weeks earlier than planned.
He weighed 1 pound, 12.4 ounces and was 13 inches long.
It was the happiest and scariest day of my life.

Today....Ian is FIVE years old!

He's starting Kindergarten in the fall...

He hasn't needed and help/ services/ therapy since he was 3...

We're very lucky!

so....i've missed a few days. Wanna know why??

Because my darling daughter, while on spring break, decided to play with moms camera.
Mad doesn't even enter into it.
I passed mad as soon as I saw she had SHOVED the Scandisk card into the slot so hard it BENT one of the tongs inside the slot.

The SAME thing just happened to our Nikon camera at work. Oh gawd.

So, I freaked. Big time freaked. This is an $800 camera that now does not work. I managed to rebend the prog upright and snapped off.

Luckily it still works.
Thank you GOD!
But, in the pics.

Asthma SUCKS

Really. It does.
I wish Ian never had to deal with Asthma.
It's like an always looming, dark cloud.

Mike's original Budweiser "Bud Man". They redid the Bud Man in the early 90's to make him look more fit and less....dumpy than the early 80's Bud Man.

Perfectly, poufy clouds

Doncha think?

Mar 16, 2008

this looks "fuzzy" since it was taken from inside my house through a screened window.
My neighbor has 1 Marine overseas and her daughter in boot camp.

Storm clouds

Some yucky looking clouds heading our way.

more moo

then there's the cow measuring spoon holder (that only has 1 measuring spoon left).

Mar 13, 2008

I used to collect cows. Cow everything. Not so much anymore as they are taking over my kitchen.
These are a pair of cow pitchers I use to hold utensils.

Sorry, if you're perusing my blog I've changed this one about 3 times already.
Just not happy with how this days pics came out.
This is an antennae ball on our car. We've had it for YEARS (since the first Spiderman movie).
I call it "spidey-redeux" because somewhere in my 1st years photo blog there's another pic of the same antennae ball.

a little spring cleaning

Apparently the house needed a washin' and Ian was just the guy to wash it.

that look

see that look? yeah, I get it often.

Napa Valley

I took Emmy for a surprise "girls day out" to Napa Valley.

Apparently it was a very popular day to go to Napa.
See that line of cars? Never got better.

What a better way to spend time waiting in traffic than to snap pics.

My favorite winery; V. Sattui. yumm........

and boy, oh boy, was it packed!

Emmy's new manicure. So cute!

withering cherry blossoms

Poor, pretty blossoms...this branch was pruned from the tree in our neighbors yard,
fell into our yard and starting withering. Still, they're beautiful.

Yr 2; Day 6 - Crayola Rose

So excited that my first crayola rose has bloomed.
I call it that because it looks as if it's been colored in with a crayon.

Yr 2; Day 5 - where's waldo...

there is a bird in there....hiding.

Mar 3, 2008

Yr 2; Day 3 - long shadows

I loooooove this.
After taking tons of pics kite flying this was a last minute capture.

Mar 2, 2008

Yr 2; Day 2 - piggyback ride

Ian's favorite pastime; being attached to Daddy.

Yr 2; Day 1 - no fauna but flora

my baby roses (fairy roses) make me happy...what can I say.
This bud (IRL) measures about 1.5 inches.
