Five years ago today....

We welcomed our son into the world 8 weeks earlier than planned.

He weighed 1 pound, 12.4 ounces and was 13 inches long.

It was the happiest and scariest day of my life.

Today....Ian is FIVE years old!

He's starting Kindergarten in the fall...

He hasn't needed and help/ services/ therapy since he was 3...

We're very lucky!

so....i've missed a few days. Wanna know why??

Because my darling daughter, while on spring break, decided to play with moms camera.

Mad doesn't even enter into it.

I passed mad as soon as I saw she had SHOVED the Scandisk card into the slot so hard it BENT one of the tongs inside the slot.

The SAME thing just happened to our Nikon camera at work. Oh gawd.

So, I freaked. Big time freaked. This is an $800 camera that now does not work. I managed to rebend the prog upright and then...it snapped off.

Broke.

Gone.

Toast.

Cr*ppity.

Luckily it still works.

Thank you GOD!

But, in the meantime...no pics.

This is an antennae ball on our car. We've had it for YEARS (since the first Spiderman movie).

I call it "spidey-redeux" because somewhere in my 1st years photo blog there's another pic of the same antennae ball.

I took Emmy for a surprise "girls day out" to Napa Valley.

Apparently it was a very popular day to go to Napa.

What a better way to spend time waiting in traffic than to snap pics.

Poor, pretty blossoms...this branch was pruned from the tree in our neighbors yard,

fell into our yard and starting withering. Still, they're beautiful.
